CAIRO — Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-Asoomi on Friday vehemently rejected and denounced recent comments against Saudi Arabia following a decision by OPEC+ to cut production by two million barrels per day as of next month.

In a press statement, Al-Asoomi voiced the Arab Parliament's absolute support for Saudi Arabia, saying that OPEC resolutions are unanimously adopted on the basis of the supply and demand mechanism.

He highly commended the Kingdom's crucial and pivotal role in Arab, regional and international domains.

He also spoke highly of all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard the global economy against energy price volatility, in addition to its balanced approach to keep a stable world oil market. — Agencies
