RIYADH — The Heritage Commission has registered 101 new archaeological and historical sites in the National Antiquities Register.

The archaeological sites that were registered included 81 sites in Hail region, while 9 sites in Tabuk region, 6 sites in Madinah region, 3 in Qassim region, and 1 site each in Asir and Al-Jouf regions, bringing the total number of registered sites up to 8,528 archaeological sites across Saudi Arabia.

The Heritage Commission called on citizens and interested people to report explored archeological sites through the "Balagh" platform, commending the awareness of citizens and their role as a main partner in preserving and caring for the national heritage. — SPA
