Al-Khorayef: South Africa is a main gateway to Saudi products and services

RIYADH — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, who is the head of the Saudi side in the Saudi-South African Joint Commission, affirmed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to hold the ninth session of the commission’s works to strengthen the bilateral relations with South Africa.

He said, South Africa represents a major gateway for Saudi products and services to reach most countries in the African continent, pointing out that the joint commission represents an important step to move bilateral relations to broader horizons.

During his speech at the commission meeting held in Pretoria, South Africa, Al-Khorayef stressed the importance of strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields, such as energy, industry, mining, agriculture, transport, culture, tourism, specifications and standards, communications, media, trade, investment, finance, education, health, and other fields.

He pointed to the need to benefit from the national development plans between the two countries, stressing that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 includes ambitious goals and objectives, noting the Kingdom's keenness to cooperate with South Africa in the field of clean and renewable energy. — SPA
