Prince Khalid bin Salman, Al-Benyan take oath as ministers

JEDDAH Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman and Minister of Education Yusef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan took the oath of office before Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Salam Palace here on Tuesday evening.

The oath-taking ceremony was held in the presence of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Both the ministers said in their oath: “I swear by Almighty Allah, to be faithful to my religion, and then to our King and homeland, not to divulge any secrets of the State, and to protect its interests and regulations, and to perform my duties with utmost honesty, integrity and sincerity.”

The oath was taken following a royal order issued by the King on Tuesday appointing Prince Khalid bin Salman and Al-Benyan as ministers of defense and education respectively, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
