Zimbabwe supports Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030

HARARE — Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Frederick M. M. Shava announced his country's support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the World Expo 2030.

He explained in a press conference Tuesday, after a meeting between Advisor at the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmad Bin Abdulaziz Qattan and Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa, that his country supports the Kingdom's bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh.

For his part, Qattan expressed the appreciation of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this support that stems from the strong relations between the two countries.

Earlier, Advisor Qattan met with Minister Shava, during his official visit to the Republic of Zimbabwe.

The two sides held a session of official talks and reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields to serve common interests, in addition to discussing the latest developments in regional and international events and issues of common interest. — SPA
