Street peddlers may obtain permits to display their products in public parks

RIYADH — The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRA) announced that it has allowed street peddlers to display their products in public parks, provided that they obtain a license for the purpose.

The ministry said that peddlers who wish to benefit from the offer can obtain the permit through the Baladi platform.

Baladi platform provides the service of “issuing a sales outlet license inside a park” without fees and other requirements.

This initiative will enable street peddlers to benefit from crowded parks where people of all ages go for entertainment, which will help the merchants to showcase their products to the public.

The Baladi platform also provides a variety of other licenses to the merchants, including: Issuance of a sales outlet license within an approved market, issuance of a mobile vehicle license, renewal of a mobile vehicle license.

The platform also provides the service of canceling and modifying licenses.
