Prince Khalid, Pakistan’s Army chief discuss military cooperation

JEDDAH — Prince Khalid Bin Salman, deputy minister of defense, met here on Sunday the Commander of the Pakistani Army Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the defense and military field, and ways to enhance it within the framework of the close historical relations that unite the Kingdom and Pakistan.

They also discussed a number of issues of common interest.

Prince Khalid said on his Twitter account: “Met with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Bajwa to explore the bilateral cooperation between our two brotherly nations in the areas of military and defense, review ways to strengthen our historic relations, and discuss issues of common concern.”

Earlier, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, met Gen. Bajwa, who’s currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

The Crown Prince decorated Gen. Bajwa with King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class, in recognition of Gen. Bajwa’s distinguished efforts in consolidating and strengthening bonds of friendship and joint cooperation and developing Saudi-Pakistani relations.
