JEDDAH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued an interactive electronic guide for pilgrims, in four languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, and French.

It provides the prevailing and expected climatic conditions in Makkah and Madinah during the Hajj season, and includes information on rain, temperature, relative humidity, and surface winds, in addition to other weather forecasts.

The booklet also contained an informational message about weather and climate as part of its awareness and educational programs for this year’s Hajj, as well as advice and instructions for pilgrims, supplications to be recited on the Day of Arafat, and a map of the Hajj rituals.

This is in addition to NCM locations in the Holy Sites (Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah). The brochure also includes the center's account on Twitter, the automated early warning system, and the Hajj electronic window using a QR code to provide easy access and use by pilgrims.

The National Center of Meteorology provided the authorities concerned with serving the pilgrims with a guide to coordinate their programs and plans and to benefit from the climatic information contained therein. — SPA
