NOUAKCHOTT — Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani received on Friday Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, during an official one-day visit to Nouakchott.

Prince Faisal conveyed greetings from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, and their wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Mauritanian government and people.

During the reception, which was held at the presidential residence, they reviewed aspects of Saudi-Mauritanian relations, areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in the development and economic fields, and a number of regional issues.

Prince Faisal, who arrived at Oumtounsy International Airport in the capital earlier on Friday, also met with his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.

“They emphasized the depth of the existing relations between the Kingdom and Mauritania, and the two countries’ keenness to strengthen and develop them in various fields,” the Foreign Ministry said.

The talks also dealt with ways of consolidating the economic partnership between both countries as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
