HRC president receives Finnish parliamentary delegation

The Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad met here Wednesday with a delegation from the Parliament of Finland headed by Representative Hussein Al-Tai, chairman of the Finnish-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group in Parliament, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

RIYADH — The Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad met here Wednesday with a delegation from the Parliament of Finland headed by Representative Hussein Al-Tai, chairman of the Finnish-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group in Parliament, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Awwad highlighted Saudi Arabia’s efforts, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince in promoting and protecting human rights.

Dr. Al-Awwad hailed the developments witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields towards achieving sustainable development in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030.

The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest and aspects of constructive bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and Finland in the field of human rights and ways to enhance and develop them. — SPA
