RIYADH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh met here Monday with the European Union’s Special Envoy to Afghanistan Thomas Nicholson, and the accompanying delegation.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh stressed that the Kingdom is keen on spreading the principles of moderation, rejecting extremism, and respecting all human beings.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs is working to serve Islam and Muslims around the world, correct the religious speech, renew understanding of religious discourse and spread the concept of moderate Islam.

Meanwhile, the EU’s Ambassador praised the Kingdom’s efforts and its leading role in the Islamic world in spreading moderation, rejecting extremism, and strengthening efforts in this regard. — SPA
