RIYADH — The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) has confirmed the video that went viral on social media regarding the death of antelopes in the Al-Dahna Desert is incorrect and belongs to an area outside Saudi Arabia.

The NCW indicated that it is conducting prior studies before releasing the wild creatures, in order to ensure the suitability of the sites.

After conducting the studies related to the release of wild creatures, the NCW said that it follows this process by monitoring the released wild creatures to ensure their adaptation at the site and the success of their resettlement.

It is noteworthy that the NCW has released numbers of endangered local wildlife on more than one occasion, as part of its program to multiply and resettle them in their natural environments in all regions of Saudi Arabia.
