JEDDAH — A Yemeni national was arrested after claiming about having a new scheme to correct the status of some expatriates.

The Makkah region police spokesman said that the investigations carried out by the security forces resulted in the identification of a person who appeared in a video clip, speaking inside a banquet hall in Jeddah in front of an audience who gathered upon his invitation.

During the speech, the man, who was identified as a Yemeni resident, claimed about a forthcoming scheme to correct the status of some expatriates in the Kingdom. It was revealed in the investigations that his claims were not based on official grounds.
