Visit to Rawdah Sharif suspended for six days

April 28, 2022

Saudi Gazette report

MADINAH — The visit and entry to the Rawdah Sharif at the Prophet’s Mosque have been suspended for six days from April 28 (Ramadan 27) to May 3 (Shawwal 2).

This was announced by the Agency for the Prophet’s Mosque Affairs under the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.

The agency attributed this to the anticipated huge flow of visitors and worshipers to the Prophet’s Mosque for special Ramadan night prayers of taraweeh, and Qiyam Allail during the last days of the holy month of Ramadan as well as for Eid Al-Fitr prayers.

The move is part of the measures to ensure the safety, ease and comfort of the visitors and worshipers,” the Saudi Press Agency reported, quoting the agency sources.
