RIYADH — The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) Sunday signed a joint agreement with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to promote radio education for children affected by the conflict in the Republic of Burkina Faso.

The agreement was signed by the Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, and the representative of UNICEF in the Gulf region Al-Tayeb Adam at the center's headquarters in Riyadh.

The agreement aims to enable children affected by insecurity and school closures due to the coronavirus pandemic to access basic education through radio education and to enhance children's reading and writing skills, benefiting 90,000 children.

This agreement comes within the efforts made by the Kingdom, represented by the Center, to support the education sector for needy groups in the affected countries around the world. — SPA
