Kingdom’s girls’ students win 4 awards at the EGMO 2022

RIYADH — The Kingdom has added a new international achievement in the growing list of the nation’s record of achievements, after the Kingdom’s female students won 4 international awards in the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO 2022).

The event was held “remotely” from April 6 to 12, 2022, and the Kingdom participates annually through the King Foundation Abdulaziz and his Companions for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba", in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education.

Mawhiba announced that the Saudi team won a bronze medal and three Certificates of Honorable Mention in its 10th participation, raising its record of awards to 28 in this Olympiad in which students of 55 countries, including advanced industrial and scientific countries, are taking part

Rafaa Qansh, from the Jeddah Education Department, won the bronze medal, while Lara Manqal from Jeddah Education Department, Judd Bahweni from Yanbu Education Department, and Jana Al-Dosari from Eastern Region Education Department, received Certificates of Honorable Mention. — SPA
