CAIRO — Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia targeting economic and civilian facilities in several regions in Saudi Arabia, using ballistic missiles and drones.

In a statement issued Sunday, Aboul Gheit said: “The continuation of the terrorist Houthi militia in carrying out these hostile acts against vital targets in Saudi Arabia reflects once again the Houthi rejection of peace efforts. This attack is a flagrant violation of the UN Security Council's resolutions.”

He expressed his deep concern about the consequences of the continuation of these Houthi hostilities without a quick and decisive action by the international community to put an end to this destructive escalation. He reiterated the Arab League's support for the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to confront these terrorist acts and preserve its stability and security.

The Arab Parliament too has strongly condemned the terrorist attack of Houthi militia to target the water desalination station in Al-Shaqeeq, a facility of Aramco in Jazan and a power station in Dhahran Al-Janub with the use of drones and ballistic missiles, which caused some material damage.

It strongly condemned these hostile attacks that come at a time when Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf announced hosting a round of Yemeni consultations. It renewing its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in whatever it takes of procedures to preserve its sovereignty and the safety and security of its people and residents.

The Arab Parliament also stressed that the continued hostile attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia towards the Kingdom highlight its rejection to any attempts that put Yemen on the road of the political stability, calling on the international community again to take immediate action to stop providing Houthi militia with weapons and pressuring it to accept peace.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis has condemned the dangerous attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia and its deliberate and systematic attempts to target safe civilians and some civilian objects and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The general secretariat stressed its strongest condemnation of these terrorist acts and hostile practices that represent war crimes that should be held accountable, where these practices are considered a clear evidence of this Iran-backed militia to persist on its flagrant violations to all sanctities, humanitarian boundaries and morals and international laws and norms.

The general secretariat also highlighted the importance for taking decisive and firm positions towards these continuous attacks and hold its perpetrators accountable, renewing its utter support to all procedures and measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its security, stability and the sovereignty of its territories, praising the heroic roles of the Saudi air force and Coalition forces in confronting all these attempts aimed at tampering with the security and stability of the Kingdom and the safety of its facilities, citizens and residents.

Egypt too strongly condemned the continuous Houthi militia’s terrorist attacks on Saudi Arabia’s territories. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, stressed that targeting these vital and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia is considered a dangerous escalation and a flagrant targeting to the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the entire region.

This is in addition to what these despicable terrorist acts represent of a clear violation to the principles and rules of the international law. It also reiterated the close connection between the security and stability of the two countries, voicing its solidarity and support to the Kingdom.

In Riyadh, GCC chief Dr. Al-Hajraf too strongly condemned the Houthi militia's continuous launching of ballistic missiles and bomb-laden drones in a systematic and deliberate manner targeting innocent civilians and civilian facilities in Jazan, Khamis Mushait, Taif, Yanbu and Dhahran Al Janub in a flagrant violation of international norms and laws.

The secretary general commended the skills and vigilance of Saudi Air Defenses. Dr. Al-Hajraf reiterated the GCC states' solidarity with Saudi Arabia against whatever targets its security, stability and territorial integrity, calling on the international community to take immediate and decisive measures to stop these aggressive acts targeting civilian and vital facilities as well as the security of the Kingdom.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks against civilian objects and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia.

OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha denounced in the strongest terms the Houthi militia’s repeated attacks against civilian lands and objects in Saudi Arabia, with ballistic missiles and bomb-laden drones. He said OIC supports the measures Saudi Arabia takes to protect its lands, citizens, residents and economic facilities.

The UAE strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist militia's systematic and deliberate terrorist attacks targeting economic and civilian facilities in several regions of Saudi Arabia, using ballistic missiles and drones, resulting in material damage to the facilities, homes and civilian properties.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reiterated that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militias reflects their blatant defiance of the international community, the efforts made to end the Yemeni crisis, and their disregard for all international laws and norms, which needs a deterrent response to all that threatens the security, safety and civilian lives.

The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated actions targeting vital and civil facilities, the security of the Kingdom, energy supplies and global economic stability, and to support the measures taken by the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia to stop militias targeting civilian objects.

The Ministry renewed the UAE’s full solidarity with the Kingdom regarding these terrorist attacks, vowing support for the KSA against any threat to its security and stability, and for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security and the safety of its citizens and residents, stressing that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered a threat to UAE security and stability.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday expressed the State of Kuwait's terse denunciation of the dangerous terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militias on civilians and civilian targets in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said that the Houthi militias have carried out a fresh attack with ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones, targeting several regions in the Kingdom, adding that such continuous terrorist acts on civil and economic installations in several regions in the Kingdom target not only security of the Kingdom and the region, but also aims at disrupting supplies to the international energy markets, undermining the global economy and navigation.

Also the State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of targeting civilian, economic and vital facilities in several cities in the Kingdom. In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered that targeting vital facilities, especially those related to water desalination, electricity and energy, is a dangerous act of sabotage that contradicts all international norms and laws, threatens the daily life of citizens and represents an attack on humanity.

In Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s launch of a ballistic missile towards Jazan and nine drones towards the southern region of Saudi Arabia, in a terrorist attack targeting civilian and economic facilities, violating international humanitarian law and demonstrating the militia’s insistence to continue carrying out its aggressive attacks.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s firm stance with Saudi Arabia in all it takes to ensure the security and safety of its citizens and residents, praising the efforts of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces and the Royal Saudi Air Force, which were able to intercept and destroy the ballistic missile and drones.

In Riyadh, the secretariat general of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) too denounced the hostile attacks to target civilian objects and economic facilities in the Kingdom in a systematic and deliberate way.

ARCO Secretary General Dr. Saleh Bin Hamad Al-Tuwaijri expressed the organization’s condemnation of these attacks that target civilian objects that enjoy the protection of the international humanitarian law. ARCO stressed its rejection and condemnation of these recurrent hostile practices against civilians, stressing that these attacks lead to causing damage to human souls that practice activities in civilian locations.

In Amman, Jordan also condemned the Houthi militia's repeated attacks against Saudi Arabia, including the latest launch of a ballistic missile, number of bomb-laden drones and cruise missiles on Saudi lands, which were intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi air defenses forces.

Spokesperson of Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Foul voiced Jordan’s strong condemnation of such cowardly terrorist attacks as well as targeting civilian and economic installations. He also reiterated Jordan’s rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, and support for the Kingdom in the face of any threat to its security.

Pakistan too has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s launch of a ballistic missile towards Jazan, which aimed against civilians and economic installations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said: “The successful interception of the ballistic missile by the Royal Saudi Air Defense Force prevented loss of innocent lives and is commendable. Such attacks do not only violate international law but also threaten peace and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region.”

The ministry noted that Pakistan calls for immediate cessation of these attacks. Pakistan reaffirmed its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threats to its security and territorial integrity.

And, the Republic of Djibouti also strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist attack with drones as well as ballistic and cruise missiles. Djibouti also denounced this flagrant aggression which threatens the security and stability of the region, affirming that this escalation represents a rejection of the call of the GCC for the peace efforts and initiatives in Yemen.

Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti and Dean of Diplomatic Corps to Saudi Arabia Dya Eddine Said Bamakhrama stressed his country’s support to the right of the Coalition Forces to take necessary procedures to deter this aggression in accordance with the international laws and norms. — SPA
