Saudi Arabia supports de-escalation in Ukraine, offers mediation

Riyadh — Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the crisis in Ukraine in a phone call on Thursday with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom's support for everything that contributes to de-escalating the crisis, its readiness to exert efforts to mediate between all parties, and its support for all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically.



The Crown Prince indicated that Saudi Arabia, out of humanitarian considerations, will extend the visas of Ukrainian visitors, tourists and residents in the Kingdom, which are set to expire during this period, for three extendable months. He affirmed that the Kingdom's government is keen on their comfort and safety. — SG
