Crown Prince, Cyprus President hold talks in Riyadh

RIYADH —
Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense received on Tuesday the Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades in Riyadh.

The Cypriot President was accorded an official reception at Al-Yamamah Palace.

After the reception, the Crown Prince and the Cypriot President held a session of official talks. The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of King Salman to the Cypriot President, wishing the Republic of Cyprus further progress and prosperity. In turn, the Cypriot President conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Saudi King, wishing the Kingdom further development and growth.

The two sides discussed the friendship and bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Cyprus, in addition the efforts to enhance the joint coordination between the two countries in various fields.

The Crown Prince and the Cypriot President have also reviewed the regional and international issues of common interest and the efforts made in their regard.

The discussion session was attended by the Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, Cabinet's member and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed Bin Mohammad Al-Aiban, Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, and the Saudi Ambassador to Cyprus Khaled Al-Sharif.

On the Cypriot side, it was attended by the Minister of Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry Natasa Pilides, Deputy Minister to the President Kyriacos Kokkinos, and the Ambassador of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Stavros Avgoustidis.

The Crown Prince hosted an official luncheon banquet in honor of Cypriot President .
