MADINAH — The Startup Investment Forum (SIF) is scheduled to kick off Monday in Madinah with the participation of 60 startups from across the world at the King Salman International Convention Center in Madinah.

On the sidelines of the three-day forum, MITEF Startup Competition in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world will be organized to grant international enterprises around the world an opportunity to expand their work in the Saudi market and meet with Saudi investors.

The Ministry of Investment will facilitate the entry of these enterprises into Saudi Arabia and their licensing with lowered prices, in addition to receiving a Saudi commercial register after receiving an entrepreneurship license.

The forum will be accompanied by an exhibition, during which workshops offered by senior executive officers of effective institutions from Saudi Arabia and the world will be held. The workshops will be on “entrepreneurship in hospitality and tourism: trends and opportunities”, “entrepreneurship and sustainable practices”, “design thinking”, “innovations in artificial intelligence”, and “Pre-seed & seed fundraising”.

This is in addition to a discussion panel on enhancing the future: environment-oriented economy — Madinah a developing smart city and displaying a documentary titled 15 years of innovation — the journey of MIT Enterprise Forum, where MIT will also offer a case study on a program to accelerate regional entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia. — SPA
