RIYADH —
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has announced that exit-only visas can be issued electronically for house workers during the 90-day probation period.

In a statement on its Twitter account, Jawazat said this service enables employers to issue exit-only visas for domestic workers through the Absher platform for electronic services during the trial period. A final exit visa can be issued only for those domestic workers for whom no residency permit (muqeem card) has been issued.

The Jawazat has set terms and conditions for the issuance of final exit visas for domestic workers. According to the conditions, the total number of domestic and non-domestic workers under the employer does not exceed 100; the worker is not registered as dead or absent from work or staying outside the Kingdom, and no traffic violations are recorded against the worker. Moreover, the minimum validity of the passport of the worker shall be 60 days or more.
