RIYADH — Justice Minister Walid Al-Samaani has met here Lord Tariq Ahmad, UK minister of state for human rights. The ministers discussed Saudi Arabia’s judicial development and its impact on promoting human rights.

Al-Samaani highlighted the special attention and support the judiciary receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense.

“This support had a major impact on the development of the justice system and the promotion of human rights,” the minister said.

Al-Samaani also introduced the specialized legislation announced by the Crown Prince, which adopts the latest international approaches, and its role in achieving transparency and justice. — SG
