RIYADH — The Saudi-Norwegian Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shoura Council, headed by Shoura Council member and chairman of the committee Hazza Bin Bakr Al-Qahtani, held a meeting here Sunday with Norway Ambassador Thomas Lid Ball.

The chairman of the committee stressed the importance of intensifying work to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two Kingdoms in various fields, especially parliamentary fields, and to enhance the role played by the joint parliamentary friendship committees between the Shoura Council and the Norwegian Parliament.

For his part, the Norwegian Ambassador stressed the importance of strengthening the joint parliamentary work between the two friendly countries, and exchanging experiences between them in a way that contributes to expanding horizons of cooperation and achieving common interests in various fields.

He valued the relief and humanitarian efforts and projects carried out by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between Saudi Arabia and Norway in various fields. They also discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially at the level of parliamentary relations that bring together the Shoura Council and the Norwegian Parliament. — SPA
