Crown Prince receives Russian President's special envoy for Syria

RIYADH — Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, received in Riyadh on Thursday Russian President’s Special Envoy for Syrian Settlement Alexander Lavrentiev.

The Russian envoy conveyed the greetings of President Vladimir Putin to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. In turn, the Crown Prince sent his greetings to the Russian President.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as developments in Syria.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan. On the Russian side, it was also attended by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Special Envoy and Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department Ambassador Alexander Kinschak. — SPA
