Korean prez, GCC chief review opportunities for joint cooperation in various sectors

RIYADH — President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in received in Riyadh Wednesday the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest international developments, exchanged views on regional and international issues, in addition to reviewing aspects of relations and opportunities for joint cooperation in various vital sectors between the GCC states and the Republic of Korea.

They also addressed strengthening strategic partnerships in renewable energy, defense industry, healthcare and digital education fields.

Dr. Al Hajraf stressed the importance and depth of the Gulf-Korean relations as well as the keenness to develop the relations and seize available opportunities in implementation of directives of the GCC states' leaders.

The meeting was attended by head of GCC Negotiations Team Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Harbi. — SPA
