Saudi Arabia, US discuss efforts to enhance security in Africa

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan received on Monday US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Ambassador Molly Phee and Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Ambassador David Satterfield.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the US and ways to enhance them in all areas of cooperation and joint coordination and discussed the latest regional and international developments of common interest.

They also discussed both countries’ efforts to enhance security and stability in the African continent, and support everything that contributes to the development and prosperity of the African peoples and countries.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Political and Economic Affairs Ambassador Eid AlThaqafi and the Charge d’affaires of the US Embassy in the Kingdom, Martina Strong.
