KSrelief medical team conducts 169 open-heart, catheterization surgeries in Yemen’s Mukalla

HADRAMOUT — The medical team of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), as part of the Nabdh AlSaudia Volunteer Program for Cardiac Catheterization and Surgery in Hadramout, conducted 169 open-heart and catheterization surgeries in Al-Mukalla, Yemen, in December 2021. The surgeries were performed in cooperation with the Nabd Al-Hayah Center for Heart Diseases and Surgery.

In all, 30 open-heart surgeries were conducted and 139 surgeries for treatment catheterization, which benefited the families with limited income who cannot afford the costs of these surgeries in Yemeni hospitals.

The program comes as part of the support being provided by Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, to the medical sector in Yemen. — SPA
