Justice, commerce ministers discuss alternative dispute resolution for commercial cases

RIYADH — Justice Minister Walid Al-Samaani and Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi have explored digital integration and the implementation of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for commercial and consumer protection cases.

“The ministers discussed enhancement of collaboration and the provision of simplified procedures for small commercial claims,” the Ministry of Justice said.

The two sides also agreed to offer model commercial contracts providing for ADR means, such as conciliation and arbitration, prepare courses on up-to-date commercial legislation, and hold workshops for judges and lawyers.
