Deputy Emir of Jazan Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz offered the condolences of the Saudi leadership to the kin of the Saudi citizen and Yemeni national who were killed in the Houthi projectile attack in the Samta governorate in the southern Jazan region on Saturday.

He also reassured the health of those hospitalized after sustaining injuries in the attack. Hadi Uraibi, a Saudi citizen, and Hassan Nasser, a Yemeni national, were killed and seven civilians, including six citizens and a Bangladeshi national, injured in the attack.

Prince Muhammad visited the house of Uraibi’s father in Al-Mousem Center in the Tawal governorate to convey condolences. He also offered condolences to the family members of Nasser after visiting Al-Hadari Center in Samtah governorate.

A military projectile, launched by the terrorist Houthi militia, fell on a commercial store on the main street in Samta resulting in the death of two persons and injuring of seven others. Two shops and 12 cars were damaged in the attack.

Following the attack, the Arab Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen launched an attack on Houthi arms depots in Sana’a. The Coalition announced the destruction of warehouses for specific weapons in the Tashreef Camp in Sana’a. It also stressed that Houthis should remove weapons from civilian areas of which protection is guaranteed under the international humanitarian law.
