Coalition forces shoot down two Houthi-fired drones

RIYADH — The Saudi-led coalition, on Monday, intercepted two drones that were flying across the Yemeni skies in the direction of Saudi Arabia.

Official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), citing the Coalition, said, "In response to the threat and barbaric behavior, the threat was dealt with firmly". It stressed that the coalition's operations were in accordance with international humanitarian law and rules.

In Cairo, the Arab Parliament strongly condemned the launch of drones by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia, on the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Parliament stressed that the terrorist Houthi militia's perpetration of these cowardly acts constitutes a clear violation of the Stockholm Agreement, which stipulates the cease-fire, pointing out that the repetition of these terrorist attempts by the coup militia reflects its blatant defiance of the international community and its disregard for all international laws and norms.

The Arab Parliament called on the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated terrorist acts, and to prevent this terrorist militia from acquiring advanced military technology, which the Iranian regime supplies to it, and uses it to carry out its terrorist acts, targeting vital and civilian facilities.

The Arab Parliament praised the vigilance and efficiency of the Coalition To Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, and their success in confronting all terrorist attempts carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia.

In Abu Dhabi, the UAE strongly condemned the attempts of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia to target civilian areas and objects systematically and deliberately in the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with drones, which were intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition.

In its statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia reflects its blatant challenge to the international community.

It urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these aggressive acts that undermine security and stability in the region.

In Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the launch of drones by the terrorist Houthi militia against the southern region of the Kingdom, a move reflecting the militias' continuation of their systematic attacks targeting civilians and innocents.

In a statement issued today, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the vigilance of the Coalition Forces to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, stressing the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain for Saudi Arabia in all the measures it takes to ensure the security and safety of its lands, citizens and residents. — SPA
