Saudi ministry stresses need for wearing masks, social distancing in mosques

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance stressed the need to take precautionary measures, apply social distance between worshipers in mosques, and wear masks, to preserve their health and protect themselves against the Covid-19 coronavirus and its mutations.

The ministry said it constantly follows up on all the instructions received from the concerned authorities related to precautionary measures and works to implement them. The ministry called on imams and preachers to educate society about the importance of maintaining public health and adherence to regulations and instructions to ensure the safety and health of worshipers.

The ministry called on worshipers that in the event of noticing any failure to implement the instructions they should report it through the ministry's Beneficiary Services Center 1933. — SPA
