December 01, 2021

RIYADH — The official spokesman of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) Maj. Mohammad Al-Nujaidi stated that the proactive security follow-up of the criminal network's activities has led to thwarting a large attempt to smuggle 30,349,000 Amphetamine pills hidden inside a cardamom container seized at Riyadh Dry Port.

The GDNC security follow-up targets those who tamper with the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its youths.

The attempt was thwarted in coordination with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, where the recipients of the shipment — two citizens and two Syrians, were arrested.

Maj. Al-Nujaidi said that the four people were arrested and preliminary legal measures have been taken against them and duly referred to the public prosecution. — SPA
