GCC states make solid steps toward fourth industrial revolution: Al-Hajraf

DUBAI — Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf said that the GCC states have taken steady steps toward the fourth industrial revolution since its inception by developing strategic visions and developing their governmental and legislative system.

The GCC Secretary-General’s remarks were made during the opening session of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Courts and Law Affairs on Friday, organized by the GCC Assistant Secretariat for Legal and Legislative Affairs and the Global Artificial Intelligence Group, at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Participated by the Council’s justice ministers, the first international conference on artificial intelligence in court affairs discussed the impact of artificial intelligence in transforming legal services to smart systems at the level of judges, lawyers, and individuals.

Dr. Al-Hajraf said the world, with the launch of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is witnessing competition in developing the infrastructure to keep pace with upcoming changes in digital technology, in particular, and the modern economy and enhance competitiveness and development in all countries. — SPA
