Al-Othaimeen thanks Saudi leadership at end of OIC tenure

JEDDAH — Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has expressed gratitude and appreciation for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the current President of the Islamic Summit, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, for their confidence in nominating him to the OIC secretary-general’s post for a five-year term that ended on November 16.

In a statement, Dr. Al-Othaimeen stressed that the big support he received from the leadership of Saudi Arabia, the host country of the OIC, has facilitated his mission in enhancing joint Islamic action, serving Islamic world causes, and developing the performance of the OIC Secretariat General with the help of all employees. — SPA
