New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia remain below 50-mark

RIYADH — New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia continued to stay below the 50-mark on Tuesday, with 37 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours.

New COVID cases in the Kingdom have been fluctuating around the 50-mark, with infections dipping below the mark for three weeks after seeing new cases recording over the 50-mark for four straight days and one day in between the slides before staying below the mark for two straight weeks.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, 2 people died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 549,297 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,818.

According to the ministry, a total of 44 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 538,373.

According to the ministry, among the active cases 50 of them were in critical condition.
