CSG to clash with Pak Zalmi in final of Kanoo league

JEDDAH — Center System Group (CSG) and Pak Zalmi won their semifinal matches against Al Burj and ICAD respectively in the and will now cash in the final of Kanoo Summer T15 League, sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association under patronage of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF).

Center Systems comfortably beat Al Burj by 43 runs thanks mainly to Usman Butt who scored a solid 75 runs and was well supported by Fayaz Ahmed (37) to give their team solid tally of 164 for 5 in 15 overs. In reply, Al Burj were restricted to 121 for 9 in 15 overs with Zeeshan (47) fighting a lone battle as others succumbed. CSG will now face the might of Pak Zalmi in the final of the 27th Kanoo Cup.

Pak Zalmi pipped ICAD in a low-scoring encounter by narrowest of margin — 1 run. Pak Zalmi scored 132 for 8 with Qasim scoring a stylish 61, while Mohammed Shahnawaz (25) gave good support. Mohsin (3 for 21), Jawad Nasir (3 for 23) bowled well to contain Pak Zalmi batsmen. In reply, ICAD fought well but lost wickets at regular intervals to end at 131 all out – Waqar (38), Mohsin (25) kept them in the hunt but once they departed Abid (3 for 18), Najeeb (2 for 15) and Qasim (2 for 23) brought Pak Zalmi back into the game to give them narrowest of win by 1 run and an entry into the final.
