Saudi minister of Islamic affairs holds talks with Croatian PM

ZAGREB — Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic received at the Presidential Palace in Zagreb on Thursday Saudi Arabia's Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, who is currently visiting Croatia to sign a memorandum of understanding in Islamic fields.

The meeting went over means to enhance cooperation in various fields, mainly in issues related to serving Croatian Muslims.

Following the meeting, Plenkovic and Dr. Al-Sheikh held a press conference, where the Croatian premier expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s support to Croatia and other countries in addition to its relentless efforts in spreading peace and harmony among all peoples of the world.

He praised the visit of the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs seeking to enhance cooperation in a way that serves Islamic fields and issues.

Al-Sheikh commended the role of Croatia in serving Islam and Muslims, referring to the constructive cooperation between the two countries in this field.

Saudi Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Non-resident Ambassador to Serbia and Croatia Osamah Al-Ahmadi and several officials from both sides attended the meeting. — SPA
