Al Burj, CSG, ICAD, Pak Zalmi enter semifinals of Kanoo league

JEDDAH — Al Burj, CSG, ICAD and Pak Zalmi defeated their opponents ARM United, Kashmir Stags, Asfaan and Chinar respectively in the quarterfinals and entered the semifinals of Kanoo Summer T15 League, sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association under patronage of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF).

Al Burj’s encounter with ARM United was the most exciting with the former prevailing by 1 run mainly due to Usman’s fine bowling (3 for 20) and Kamran Khan’s quickfire 58 (30b), despite Ali Shaan (50) and Zeeshan’s (44) efforts ending up on the losing side.

ICAD had an easy win over Asfaan by restricting them for 107 for 8 with bowlers Faisal, Raja Hasan and Ateeq chipping in with 2 wickets each, later Mohsin (33) and Shakeel (37) reached the target inside 10 over and seal 7 wickets win.

Pak Zalmi thrashed Chinar by 8 wickets restricting them to 152 for 5 thanks to Majid (3 for 17) and Shahnawaz, who notched up a superb 64 of 23b to enable them reach the target in 10.2 overs.

Usman Butt (101 of 36b) and Jahangir (59 of 27b) of CSG thrashed bowlers all over the ground (59) and laid foundation of a huge total of 208 for 2 in 15 overs and then restricted Kashmir Stags to 150 for 8 to win by 58 runs.

ICAD beat Asfaan by 7 wickets

Asfaan 107 for 8 15 overs Ilyas Mohammad 39, Bajwa Faisal 2 for 13 Raja Hasan 2 for 23, Ateeq Mansha 2 for 25. ICAD 112 for 3 9.5 overs Shakeel Ahmed 37, Mohsin 33.

Al Burj beat ARM United by 1 run

Al Burj 159 for 5 15 overs Kamran Khan 58 (30b), Zeeshan Mohammad 34, Abdul Mueed 3 for 35, ARM United 158 for 5 Ali Shan 50 (20b), Zeeshan Razak 44, Ather Ali 20, Mohammad Usman 3 for 20.

Pak Zalmi beat Chinar by 8 wickets

Chinar 152 for 5 15 overs Kasim Shah 30, Shafiq Bhat 28, Majid Ali 3 for 17. Pak Zalmi 154 for 2 10.2 overs Mohammad Shahnawaz 64 (23b), Abid Ali 35, Qasim 23.

CSG Beat Kashmir Stags by 58 runs

CSG 208 for 2 15 overs Usman Butt 101 (36b), Mohammad Jahangir 59 (27b), Fayaz Ahmad 24 Kashmir Stag 150 for 8 15 overs Sajid Hussain 68 (31), Yasir 28, Adnan Ayub 2 for 36.
