MADINAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Holy Mosque represented by the Language and Translation Assistant Agency managed this year to translate 1,508,588 words in Urdu, French, Malawian, English, Hausa, Bengali and Turkish languages.

This was in addition to translating 511 materials of audio and visuals, and 124 hadiths in four languages and publishing them on AlSunnah AlNabawiyah channel, in cooperation with Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA). The agency recorded 30 episodes in English about the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) inside the Prophet’s Holy Mosque.

It also translated 638 and 1610 contents for social media, 56 electronic screen contents, 616 contents for smart applications, 1784 contents through AMS Platform, in addition to 700 speech texts and 371 speeches, according to a report published by the presidency.

These services come in line with developments being witnessed by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque in all fields to improve the level of its services, and in attempt to facilitate services for non-Arabic speakers. -- SPA
