New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia drop below 50-mark

RIYADH —
New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia dropped below the 50-mark within a day after going above the figure, on Tuesday, with 42 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours.

The new infections had stayed below the mark for four straight days till it went above 50 on Monday.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, 3 more people died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 547,357 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,730.

According to the ministry, a total of 36 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 536,406.

According to the ministry, among the active cases 163 of them were in critical condition.
