RIYADH -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has sent a cable of congratulations to President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China on the anniversary of his country's National Day.

The King wished the president constant good health and happiness and the government and people of China steady progress and prosperity.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has also sent a similar cable of congratulations to President Xi Jinping on the anniversary of his country's National Day.

Also on Thursday, King Salman has sent a cable of congratulations to President Nicos Anastasiades of the Republic of Cyprus on the anniversary of his country's Independence Day.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques wished the Cypriot leader good health and the government and people of Cyprus progress and prosperity.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has also sent a similar cable to President Nicos Anastasiades.

The Saudi leaders sent congratulatory messages to President Muhammadu Buhari of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the anniversary of his country's Independence Day.
