New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia dip to 50-mark

RIYADH — New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia slid down to the 50-mark exactly after briefly straying above the half century level for a day on Tuesday, with 50 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, 5 more people died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 547,035 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,709.

According to the ministry, a total of 53 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 536,079.

Al Baha reported the highest number of new cases followed by Riyadh. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom.

According to the ministry, among the active cases and 227 of them were in critical condition.
