Citizen arrested for posting promo ad for fake PCR tests

JEDDAH –
The security authorities in Madinah arrested a citizen who published an online advertisement to promote fake PCR tests in exchange for money.

Lt. Col. Hussein Al-Qahtani, spokesperson of Madinah police, said that the security authorities were able to identify a person, who posted on social media a fraudulent promotional advertisement, offering issuance of PCR test for a sum of money.

The man, in his 30s, was arrested, and he was referred to the branch of the Public Prosecution after taking initial legal measures against him, the spokesman added.
