MoH tops in institutional excellence in spending efficiency

RIYADH —
The Ministry of Health achieved first place among ministries in the general evaluation for the second half of 2021 in the “Pillars of Spending Efficiency Sustainability” program.

The MoH also achieved second place among government agencies for the second half of 2021, according to the “Pillars of Spending Efficiency Sustainability” program.

The “Pillars of Spending Efficiency Sustainability” program was implemented by the Spending Efficiency and Governmental Projects Authority.

The “Institutional Excellence” Award is based on progress in the “Pillars of Spending Efficiency Sustainability” program.

The award aims to encourage ministries to achieve self-efficiency and sustainable spending without affecting the quality of services provided.

This award was given to the MoH despite the challenges that the ministry faced while trying to maintain its role under the current pandemic (COVID-19), while continuing to achieve important goals in the health transformation project.

The award embodies the ministry's excellence in five pillars of spending efficiency, which are "leadership and strategy, spending efficiency practices, capabilities, initiatives, results and impact."

The Ministry of Health has made raising spending efficiency a top priority after studying the spending processes and operational and capital practices.

The ministry raised its spending efficiency in order to achieve effective spending that that preserves the sustainability of resources and maximizes the impact at the same time.
