Jeddah arts society holds first Saudi-American photography exhibition

JEDDAH — The Society of Culture and Arts in Jeddah held the first photographic exhibition on Sunday in cooperation with the Consulate General of the United States of America in Jeddah.

The exhibition was held on the occasion of the “International Day of Photography”. The exhibition includes 48 images, representing nature, culture and civilization in the Saudi Arabia and the United States.

The exhibition stimulates the idea of building bridges of cultural and human communication between societies and civilizations, monitoring nature, deserts, archaeological and urban monuments.

The Director of the Society of Culture and Arts in Jeddah Muhammed Al-Sabeeh, and the Consul General of the United States of America in Jeddah Fares Asaad were present.

Al-Sabeeh stressed the importance of celebrating international days in the fields of culture and arts and building bridges of communication with everyone.

For his part, the American Consul General expressed his happiness to cooperate with the association in the fields of culture and arts. He added that the works in the photographic exhibition, expresses the role of arts in the convergence of civilizations.
