Coalition forces intercept, destroy Houthi-fired explosive-laden drone

RIYADH — The Arab Coalition forces intercepted destroyed an explosive-laden drone that was launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia towards Khamis Mushaitd on Sunday, the Arab coalition confirmed.

“The Houthi militia continue in their attempts to target civilians. We are taking operational measures to protect civilians and infrastructure from hostile attempts,” the Arab Coalition said in a statement.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted a statement by the Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen as saying that the militias have pursued hostile actions against civilians and civil targets.

“We are taking operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects from hostile attempts,” an Coalition spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the Arab Parliament has condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's launching a Bomb-laden UAV towards Khamis Mushait Sunday.

In a statement, the Arab Parliament urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stand to stop these repeated terrorist attacks committed by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia.

The Arab Parliament warned against the militia's continued escalation of its attacks against innocent civilians, endangering their lives, considering that such repeated attacks constitute war crimes and a flagrant violation of international laws and norms.

The Arab Parliament reiterated its solidarity and standing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability and the safety of citizens and residents.

In Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia’s systematic attempts to attack civilians and civil objects in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia, today with Bomb-laden UAV, which was intercepted by the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

In a statement issued by the its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the UAE reiterated that these recurrent terror attacks by the Houthis reflect their blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms.

It also stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is inseparable, and that any threat or danger to Saudi Arabia is considered a threat to the security and stability of the UAE.

In Manama, the kingdom of Bahrain has condemned the launch of a Bomb-Laden UAV by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the city of Khamis Mushait, targeting civilians and civil facilities in violation of international humanitarian law.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity and firm stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in all the measures it takes to protect the integrity of its territory and protect its citizens and expatriates. — SPA
