JEDDAH — The Jeddah Governorate and provincial municipalities closed 55 commercial establishments for violating preventative measures against coronavirus.

The establishments were closed Wednesday, following monitoring rounds made by the concerned authorities.

During the rounds, field teams detected 57 irregularities, ranging from failure in maintaining safe distances between customers and allowing them to wear their masks incorrectly.

The establishments also failed to check the customers’ temperature and ignored the obligation to highlight their “Tawakkalna” App on entry.

The authorities said that efforts to ensure compliance with health precautions are continuing with the aim to reduce the spread of the virus.

Customers are advised to comply to the precautions and protocols and following the advice provided by Saudi health authorities.
