Saudi Gazette report
RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Bangladesh announced that it would open its doors to receive visa applications only for domestic workers, starting from Sunday (Aug. 8).
The embassy stated that this decision comes in the implementation of the directives of the wise Saudi leadership. The move is out of the Kingdom’s keenness to help citizens while taking into account the families’ need for domestic workers, especially with the approaching date for the reopening of schools.
The recruitment procedures shall be in compliance with health protocols and precautionary measures to stem the spread of coronavirus.
The government’s decision aims to facilitate the recruitment of domestic workers despite the continued restrictions of quarantine and lockdown in Bangladesh.
