Strategic cooperation between SSC and ESA reviewed

PARIS — Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, who is also chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission (SSC), met here Monday with the Director General of European Space Agency (ESA) Josef Aschbacher.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for future cooperation between the two sides in space research fields and related technologies, and ways of exchanging experiences in the fields of technology, innovation and space.

The meeting comes as part of Al-Sawaha tour of a host of institutions and companies concerned with the space sector in UK and France, with the aim to enhance SSC's efforts in the sector and cooperate with various international bodies specialized in space technologies. — SPA
