Arab Interior Ministers Council condemns Houthi terrorist militia's targeting of Saudi commercial ship

TUNIS — The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist act carried out by Houthi militia, through which it attempted to attack a Saudi commercial ship by using a booby-trapped drone in the southern Red Sea.

It said in a statement issued from its headquarters in Tunis Friday, that while it condemns these sabotage and criminal terrorist acts carried out by this Iranian-backed terrorist militia, which not only targets the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its vital facilities, but also the international shipping movement and its security and freedom of global trade in the Red Sea.

In the process it targets supplies energy for the world as well as the global economy and international peace and security, in blatant defiance of the international community and disregard for all international laws and norms calling for peace, security and stability.

It renews its full support for the Kingdom against these terrorist attacks and its absolute support for all measures it takes to defend its security, stability vital facilities, and to protect the security of International shipping lines.

In Manama, the kingdom of Bahrain strongly denounced the hostile attempt by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia to attack a Saudi commercial ship by using a (booby-trapped) drone.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Friday that these repeated hostilities reflect the clear determination of the Houthi terrorists to continue their vicious attacks on Saudi Arabia and destabilize security and stability in the region.

It praised the efficiency of the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen, which managed to thwart the attack.

It also stressed the need for the international community to take deterrent measures against these repeated violations, which violate all international laws, and aim to impede maritime traffic in the region and freedom of global trade.

In Aden, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the failed terrorist attack carried out with booby-trapped drones by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia on a Saudi commercial ship at the entrance to the Red Sea.

In a statement broadcast by the official Yemeni news agency (Saba), the Yemeni Ministry said that Houthi militia's ongoing terrorist attacks reflect its blatant defiance of the international community, and its disregard for all international laws and norms calling for security, peace and stability.

The statement urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive position to stop these deliberate and systematic aggressive acts, which target vital installations and civilian objects in the Kingdom, and their continued military escalation in Marib and Al-Bayda governorates, and their threat to the security of international navigation, threatening international peace and security.

It also stressed the Republic of Yemen's firm and full solidarity in all the measures and measures the Kingdom takes to confront these cowardly terrorist acts, maintain its security and stability and protect the security of international shipping lines.— SPA
